Kettle Valley Railway Classic - Osprey Lake Station
This
part of the Kettle Valley Railway of the Trans-Canada Trail
is just above Summerland on the way to Princeton. This is
a nice day trip from Kelowna provides a great high country
lake experience which includes Osprey Lake, Link Lake and
Chain Lake. Our tour van departs from Kelowna on a one-hour
scenic guided tour to the trailhead at Osprey Lake Station.
We fit you to your bike and then begin our ride.
We will glide through shady stands of
Ponderosa Pines as they tower over the red rock pathway where
the Kettle Valley Railway once meandered slowly through this
desert world. We stay cool from the breeze as we gaze the
view from a timber-framed trestle and three lakes on our way
to our ultimate classic Okanagan view from this mountain summit.
We stop at Chain Lake for a buffet picnic lunch before we
return to Osprey Lake and our Transport back to Kelowna. Total
distance of the cycle is 18km of easy cycling.
This all-inclusive 7-hour tour includes
a 18 km cycle, Bike Rental, Lunch, Snacks, Transport and is
hosted by Ed Kruger one of our most experienced guides, we
affectionately call him Trail-head Ed who has 20 years experience
as a leader of outdoor experiences, specializing with travel
on the Kettle Valley Railway.
