Explore Nature on a Heritage Winery Tour
Explore the high country vistas of the
North Okanagan while walking the trails of natural grasslands.
This hillside region gives us fantastic viewpoints of both
Kalamalka Lake and Okanagan Lake. Our journey will include
a visit to the Allan Brooks Nature Centre for an interpretive
walk that explains the sensitive wild habitat of this unique
region of Canada. Our tour also includes a tour of historic
downtown Vernon and its famous murals that showcase the pioneering
history of the region.
We will relax and explore the water’s
edge as we canoe Okanagan Lake’s shoreline with its
abundant waterfowl on our way to Gray Monk Winery for a tour
of the winery and vineyards. Our day of discovery ends with
a winetasting and Lunch on the winery patio.
Our guide is Reg Scott, a famous piper and expert
canoeist, and one of our best tour guides specializing in
the North Okanagan and Monashee. If we listen carefully we
might just hear the sounds of those pipes echoing throughout
the hillside. This tour is about 6 hours and includes transportation,
guide, canoes and safety equipment; trail snacks, beverages
and lunch.
$132.00 per person
Minimum 4 people per tour.
